| Job Description: | SUMMARYThis position is responsible for providing the organization with a timely and accurate payroll. This position is also responsible for maintaining employee information in a format that is easily accessible for reporting. This position is also responsible for maintaining the Oracle HRIS system. This position will also provide administrative support for the Human Resources department.RESPONSIBILITIES-Processes bi-weekly payroll for USA and Canada (approx. 400 employees), reconciles quarterly tax filings and reports. Conducts bi-weekly payroll audits to insure accurate pay computation.-Responsible for ongoing data entry, set-up, maintenance and upgrade of payroll, time and labor and Oracle HRIS systems. Runs HRIS/Payroll bi-weekly interfaces.-Prepares bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reporting, including day-to-day Oracle HRIS reporting through Discoverer.-Responsible for applicable state or provincial reporting, such as Workers’ comp, Ontario Health, etc.-Deals with employees’ inquiries or issues related to payroll.-Provides employment verifications for current/past employees.-Produces employee badges.-Provides administrative support to the HR dept. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years directly related experience. Experience with multi-state payroll is a must. Experience with Canadian payroll is a plus. Experience with ADP payroll system preferred. Must have knowledge of all US and Canadian regulations related to payroll. |
