Headquartered in downtown Minneapolis, we are a dynamic, growth oriented company.We have an an exciting growth opportunity for a Payroll and Benefits Specialist in our Corporate Human Resources Department. In this position, you are the primary HR contact for business units across the country. You will be coordinating and administering the payroll process to ensure timely and accurate payment to all employee; and coordinating all benefit related questions processing.Responsibilities include:•Perform payroll related activities such as reviewing and verify hours and pay for accuracy; processing payroll in ADP; maintaining accurate records; and handling payroll questions. payroll data entry, review and processing weekly payrolls •Process wage assignments, taxes, 401k, direct deposits, and other payroll liabilities. •Process employee changes and compensation plans, and ensure the integrity of payroll •Benefits enrollment and processing of status changes and FMLA and non-FMLA leave administration. •Benefit processing related to the 401(k) plan, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and COBRA. Requirements •Associates Degree, preferably in Human Resources. •2 years work experience in payroll, benefits administration •Well versed in all legal aspects of payroll, federal and state taxes, wage and hour laws, 401k, etc. •Experience working with FMLA, COBRA, FLSA, and related state and federal regulations. •Ability to handle confidential information and communicate with the utmost level of professionalism •Intermediate level computer skills including: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), ADP payroll or other payroll systems•Able to effectively manage time to meet deadlines, work independently with a high degree of accuracy, prioritize projects appropriately, and adapt quickly to fluid situations. •Desire to continuously improve payroll processes to increase productivity within the department Preferred:•Experience in ADP payroll system •Knowledge of the overall payroll cycle process in a multi-state environment •College degree in Human Resources |
