Time Commitment
The Twin Cities Human Resource Association welcomes all levels of volunteers, from those who can commit to only one event to those who would like to volunteer and become a team member or a team lead! Volunteering means you get the opportunity to give as much as you can!

Current Opportunities
| Volunteer Role: |
HR Talk Team Lead |
| Position Purpose: |
Develop and lead a team of 3-4 team members to strategize, plan and implement 6 HR Talks per year. HR Talks occur the 2nd Wednesday of every other month. |
| Major Responsibilities: |
- Develop and lead team
- Provide strategic thought leadership on planning topics, finding speakers, agenda, etc.
- Lead team meetings; prepare agenda, provide assignments, etc.
- Partner with TCHRA office on logistics
- Prepare and manage budget

| Qualifications: |
- 1+ years of leadership experience
- Prior TCHRA volunteer experience preferred
|
| Estimate Time Commitment: |
~ six hours per month |

Volunteer Role: |

- Seek out new venues and negotiating prices for the events
- Market the networking events through the TCHRA newsletter and website
- Organizing all other details of the event (such as snacks, etc.)

Volunteer Role: |
Member Orientation Team Members |
| Position Purpose: |
Participate in a team that is responsible for facilitating in-person orientation sessions for new or existing members of the TCHRA. Orientations occur approx. every other month for 1.5 - 2 hours. We are looking for two HR professionals that have a strong training and/or presentation skills since this role leads the orientation and will represent the TCHRA to new members. |
| Major Responsibilities: |
- Participate in team meetings
- Provide strategic thought leadership on planning sessions, agenda, etc.
- Partner with TCHRA office on logistics
- Participate in leading and/or facilitating the orientation session
- Reach out to new members to encourage them to attend the new member orientation prior to each session via email and/or the phone.

| Position Purpose: |
Develop and lead a team of 3-4 team members to strategize, plan and implement webinars throughout the year (~2 webinars per month from September through May). |
| Major Responsibilities: |
- Develop and lead team
- Provide strategic thought leadership on planning topics, finding speakers, agenda, etc.
- Lead team meetings; prepare agenda, provide assignments, etc.
- Partner with TCHRA office on logistics
- Prepare and manage budget
- Host webinars
- Tracks and reports member responses

| Qualifications: |
- Previous team leadership experience preferred
- Strong organization and communication skills required

Volunteer Role: |
Recruitment/Selection Team Member |
| Position Purpose: |
Seeks and implements ways to offer relevant educational opportunities, information and idea exchange sessions, and professional networking opportunities for TCHRA Members. |
| Major Responsibilities: |
- Develop and lead team
- Partners with team and team leads to plan programs
- Arrange prospective speakers, coordinates facilities and prepare for events
- Partner with TCHRA office on logistics
- Collects program evaluation forms and shares responses with team and VP of Programs
- Attend team in-person meetings and conference calls
