Roles: Team Lead, College and University Relations
POSITION PURPOSE: The position is responsible for developing and maintaining activities which enhance the position of TCHRA in the educational community in the local/sidewide areas. This includes the administration of existing and the development of new programs and relationships between TCHRA and local college and university human resource and industrial relation programs.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruit, select, and develop team members for term of office
Lead Team Members to develop goals and strategy for the program year
Identify a Co Team Lead (if appropriate) and a potential successor for the Team Lead (if appropriate)
Brainstorm new ways to enhance the relationship between TCHRA and education institutions.
Assist with the development and implementation of specific goals and objectives for team which are consistent with the role and mission of TCHRA;
Ensures that objectives and action plans are understood by all team members
Ensure the overall effectiveness of respective team members by overseeing and assisting in the development and coordination of team activities and goals by appropriate followup
Ensure that expenditures are made in a manner consistent with organizational guidelines and within established budgetary guidelines for the team
Assist the VP of Community and Government Relations in planning, coordinating and administering team activities
Serve as a liaison with other teams and committees
If possible, attend at least one Board meeting per fiscal year to give a team update
Responsible for communicating status updates to VP of Community and Government Relations on all activity
Participate in other special projects as requested and as schedule allows
TIME COMMITMENT: This position requires up to 5-7 hours of volunteer time monthly.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: his position reports to the VP of Community and Government Relations of TCHRA
