POSITION PURPOSE: The position is responsible for leading event planning efforts for the annual TCHRA General Program.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working in partnership with VP of Professional Development and TCHRA Administrative Office, lead all aspects of event planning for the General Program, including speaker/topic identification, site planning, logistics, marketing, etc.
Ensure that the General Program topic is relevant and of interest to a broad TCHRA audience and contributes to the professional development of our membership
Recruit, select, and develop General Program team members for term of office
Identify a CoTeam Lead (if appropriate) and a potential successor for the Team Lead
Assist with the development and implementation of team goals and objectives for the plan year, which are consistent with the mission of TCHRA
Clearly communicate objectives and expectations with all team members
Ensure team member follow-through on objectives and action plans
Ensure that expenditures are made in a manner consistent with organizational guidelines and within established budgetary guidelines for the team
Attend at least one Board meeting per fiscal year to give a team update
Responsible for communicating status updates to VP of Professional Develpment on team goals and activities
Participate in other special projects as requested and as schedule allows
TIME COMMITMENT: This position requires up to 7 hours of volunteer time monthly.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: This position reports to the VP of Professional Development of TCHRA
