POSITION PURPOSE: Manage the program team. Coordinate the work of the program teams to ensure the delivery of a broad range of programs which meet the needs of TCHRA members.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a member of the Leadership team and the Board of Directors of TCHRA
Participate in the policy formulation and decision making of TCHRA
Participate in the strategic planning process of TCHRA
Develop and implement written goals and objectives which are consistent with the role and mission of the organization
Directs the Team Leads reporting to the position
Develop procedures and processes that facilitate the coordination of programs, seminars or workshops
Recruit, select and develop Program Team Leads
Ensure ready supply of Team Lead candidates for succession planning
Acting as a back-up resources for Team Leads
Ensures that objectives and action plans are developed by each team and monitor successful implementation of the objectives
Convene and lead regular meetings with Program Team Leads for the purpose of generating ideas, reporting progress, solving programs, and promoting communication
Ensure that program plans are coordinated to provide a broad range of programming and to avoid conflict
Develop a budget for the function and obtain approval from the Board of Directors
Ensure that expenditures are made in a manner consistent with organizational guidelines and within established budgetary guidelines
Monitor financial reports to Program teams to ensure that appropriate procedures are being followed
Manage special projects as assigned
MEASUREMENT MEACHANISMS:
Achievement of budgeted financial goals of the Program teams
Achievement of individual goals aligned to the TCHRA strategy goals
Overall activity level on the TCHRA leadership team and Board of Directors
TERM: Nominated by the President-Elect and affirmed by the membership for a term of one year. This position requires up to 20 hours of volunteer time monthly.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: The Vice President of Programs reports to the President.
