The 2016 Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute

Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute

Monday, May 23, 2016 - Tuesday, May 24, 2016
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
St Paul RiverCentre

TCHRA understands that staying current and knowledgeable in employment and labor law legislation is critically important in our profession. We also understand that it can be difficult to not only stay current with new legislation, but also to gain the necessary understanding so you are able to apply that knowledge in your organization. For this reason, TCHRA continues to partner with Minnesota CLE in sponsoring the annual Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute. TCHRA members will receive a special discounted rate of $100 off their registration fee.

Not only are there new laws and cases impacting the workplace, there is a new administration in Washington D.C. that promises dramatic new directions. Attorneys and HR professionals must grapple with these changes, and the Institute is your best resource for up-to-the-minute analysis and practical application of everything that’s new.

This year’s Institute will make sure you are fully up to speed. And – where there is lack of clarity as to when, how and if a change will take place – the Institute will provide opportunities to hear recommendations from experts in the field – what they are advising clients, and why, in the midst of the uncertainty.

The Institute offers 100 sessions in all areas of employment law practice – allowing you to tailor a program to meet your individual needs. From employee leave issues to wellness plans, from EEO-1 reporting requirements to pregnancy accommodation, from employee mental health issues to pay equity, from wage and hour traps to protections for transgender employees, from marijuana-related questions to independent contractor issues – these and many more current hot spots in the law will all be included within the conference agenda.

This year, especially – make sure you are totally current in the law and in your employment law practices!

(please note that you will need to create an account with Minnesota CLE and identify yourself as a TCHRA member to receive the discounted registration).

We hope you will join us at the Upper Midwest Employment Law Institute!
