HELP FOSTER A COMMUNITY OF HUMAN RESOURCE PROFESSIONALS
TCHRA is looking for members to serve as mentors for its 2008/2009 Mentorship Program. Participants are now being paired for our year-long program, which will kick-off July 31.
Who can be a mentor? The interest in the mentoring program is strong and we would love to be able to match all interested parties with a mentor. Anyone with three or more years of HR experience qualifies to serve as a mentor. We are also looking for mentors with experience in the following areas:
What does Mentoring involve? The commitment of each partner dictates the success of the mentoring relationship. We expect Mentors to observe, counsel, coach and direct their partner to assist in developing his/her skills and to share knowledge and experience gained during their personal work career. Mentoring activities may include discussing human resource practices, strategies, and methodologies; sharing personal work experience and professional development and career goals; sharing articles of interest, sharing work products and brainstorming ideas and solutions to work or career issues facing a partner.
This exciting program allows you to build relationships that become channels for the sharing of advice, information, goals, achievements and other areas of professional and career development.
We request an initial commitment of one year from all participants.
Please note we will be accepting applications for mentors until Friday, July 25th for the 2008/2009 program
To participate in this great program or for more information, please visit our website at www.tchra.org/mentoring or contact one of our committee members.
